How the NewTowner App came to life

As a founder of the NewTowner App, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to connect with others and explore a new city. When I moved to a new city, I found myself feeling lonely and disconnected, despite my best efforts to meet new people and discover new things.

According to our research, 9 out of 10 expats feel isolated when moving to a new city. Additionally, 35% of people we interviewed don't approach others in real life due to fear of rejection, and prefer using digital tools to connect with others. However, the current solutions on the market, such as Meetup, Facebook groups, and dating apps, are focused on networking and dating and don't offer authentic socializing experiences, leaving users frustrated.
